About The Position

The Cerakote Applicator position at Sapphire Metal Finishing involves applying cerakote and baked teflon finishes to various parts, primarily in the firearms industry. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality finishes on a range of products, including electronics, medical devices, and military parts. The candidate will also be cross-trained to assist in other areas of the shop when not engaged in cerakote application.

Requirements

• Experience as a painter/applicator in DFL, Cerakote, automotive, and/or powder coating.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques and equipment.
• Ability to apply cerakote/teflon to a variety of parts by hand.
• Willingness to develop painting skills through training.
• Ability to wear a respirator as needed.
• Must be legally allowed to work in the firearms industry.
• Ability to pass a drug test, including marijuana.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
• Familiarity with safety protocols in a painting environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply cerakote and baked teflon finishes to various parts by hand.
• Prepare parts for finishing, including blasting and masking.
• Read and understand processes, procedures, and instructions for application.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
• Adapt to changes in tasks and processes as needed.
