Seeking to grow our territory! The Century Laundry Distributing, Inc., Service Technician will operate in the Minneapolis/St. Paul and Northern Territory. Century Laundry is a 100% employee owned company that has been proudly servicing the on-premise, vended and dry-cleaning industries since 1961. Century Laundry has an opening for a Service Technician that not only has the skills, but the drive to succeed in a fast-paced work environment. We are looking for technicians that want to keep learning, that want to grow, that take pride in their work and go the extra mile for their customers. Position Expectations: Be prepared for the day, every day. The role of a Service Technician is required to go where the customer and equipment are. Be prepared for travel that may require an overnight stay. Be prepared for the job by ensuring you have the right parts and tools. Report to work/job site on time. It is a basic expectation to report to work on time. When reporting to a customer location proper preparation for the day and travel time should be considered in order to meet this expectation. Be dependable. You are the face of our company to the customer. Represent the company in a positive light by doing what we said we were going to do. Help us meet our commitments, deadlines and give attention to detail while completing the job. Don't take shortcuts, these likely include skipped steps and ultimately lead to the need to return. Communicate consistently. Contact your supervisor/manager when there are questions, roadblocks or safety concerns. Each job has multiple challenges and unique circumstances. Your supervisor/manager is your resource for overcoming these. Perform all tasks safely. Use the proper PPE for the job. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Use proper lifting techniques and help one another. Have a positive attitude. Don't be the person bringing the team down. Bring your best to work every day. Being in the right mental state will serve to keep you focused and promote safety. Position Duties: Follow policies and procedures for Service Department and Technicians. Maintain an organized company vehicle. Communicate with customers to find solutions to their respective service and installation needs. Travel up to 50% of the time. Take ownership in our business results and your personal wellness. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential education, licenses, certifications, skills and experience needed for this position: AA or Technical degree a plus Previous experience in HVAC, Plumbing and/or Electrical industry a plus Valid in-state Driver’s License required with an approved Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually light to moderate. Required to pass a background, physical, drug and alcohol screenings. Provide maintenance and repair to commercial laundry customers. Diagnose and service Dexter brand equipment as well as other commercial brands for vended and on-premise customers. Requirements

  • Valid in-state Driver’s License required with an approved Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
