About Goodstart Ferntree Gully: 120 place centre located at the foothills of The Dandenong Ranges, catering to children from nursery to kinder age. Conveniently located – close to public transport, local schools, and Westfield Shopping Centre (all within 500m). Passionate, collaborative team that values professional growth, teamwork, and a welcoming environment. Enjoy working in your own kitchen, with the freedom to design and prepare delicious, nutritious meals that cater to children's dietary needs while keeping things fun and exciting! Part time contract – working 32.5 hours across the week days, 830am - 3pm, Monday – Friday, no evening or weekend work.
Requirements
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
- Current VIC Working with Children Check
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
- Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
- Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
