We are searching for a talented Centralized Scheduler-Rehab. This position is per diem, with day shifts that include every other weekend and holiday rotation from 10:00am to 6:30pm at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA.

Requirements

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training, secretarial school, diploma, or medical office certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Proficient keyboarding skills are essential.
• Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills are necessary.
• Proficient in the use of software applications such as e-mail, Word, Excel, and EHR.
• Exceptional customer service skills are required.
• Over three years of related medical office work experience is preferred.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt from the requirement.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a medical office setting.
• Certification in medical office administration.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of duties to secure optimal revenue for all services performed at Southcoast Health Rehab Services.
• Enter orders, schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments.
• Complete a full pre-registration including documenting demographics and verifying insurance information.
• Resolve work queues, fax, scan, index, transcribe, and utilize On Base.
• Obtain valid orders and communicate with clinicians, patients, and customers regarding appointment dates and times.
