About The Position

As a Centralized Material Estimating Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping the cost and pricing strategy for major programs by developing, validating, and maintaining accurate material cost estimates. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program Management to translate technical and program requirements into well-supported cost projections. Your work will directly support proposals, contract negotiations, and strategic business decisions, ensuring estimates are compliant, defensible, and aligned with customer and internal expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/Finance, Business, or other related discipline
  • Experience with data analytics and analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Pricing or functional estimating experience in materials, engineering, operations, and/or Sustainment
  • Familiarity or experience with FAR, Part 15 proposal requirements
  • Experience coordinating complex estimates with changing requirements
  • Experience using proposal pricing systems or BOE tools such as, PROPRICER, APTS, or BOE other tool usage
  • Experience, with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced or expert level
  • Experience in Tableau
  • Proven communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate detailed material cost estimates in support of proposals, negotiations, and program execution.
  • Create clear, auditable Basis of Estimates (BOEs) that align technical inputs, historical data, and program assumptions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program teams to gather requirements and ensure cost accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze material requirements, supplier data, and cost drivers to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for cost improvement.
  • Ensure estimating activities comply with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Support reviews, audits, and management briefings by providing cost rationale and responding to data requests.
  • Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives by refining estimating processes, tools, and best practices.
