About The Position

Within Franciscan, Central Verification Office Coordinator manages the primary source verification activities using all available resources to assure compliance with regulatory standards, Medical Staff Bylaws, and Franciscan Alliance credentialing policies and practices. This position acts as liaison between the applicants/re-applicants, the entity Medical Staff Professionals, and Franciscan Medical Staff Leadership, to ensure that only qualified and fully credentialed physicians and allied health practitioners provide patient care. Manage all aspects of the primary source verification functions for initial appointment and reappointment, by utilizing a comprehensive and technologically driven verification and data management process. Protects permanent records by managing a secure record retention process to safeguard any breach of confidentiality. Manages effective communication with each hospital Medical Staff Professional and Franciscan Health facility. Perform audits of Cactus user activity; serve as back up as Data Steward and representative for interfaces associated with Cactus.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years Hospital Credentialing
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) - National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS)
  • Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) - National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS)

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the primary source verification functions for initial appointment and reappointment, by utilizing a comprehensive and technologically driven verification and data management process.
