How you’ll contribute A Central Supply Technician who excels in this role: Responsible for stocking and maintaining supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed. Stocks units with office and medical supplies; prepares requisitions to maintain par levels. Receives shipments, logs receipts, enters data into the inventory system, delivers items to departments or other facilities, and reports/documents errors or damages to management. Answers the telephone, receiving dock, and walk-up window professionally; routes calls/messages appropriately. Completes clerical/computer tasks that support patient care delivery. Processes outgoing mail. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma preferred
  • Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple computer systems.
  • Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand).
  • Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
