About The Position

The Central Supply Tech is a support service for patient care that will count, deliver, and stock supplies that are needed for the inpatient nursing units, along with filling orders from the Materials warehouse, stocking the Materials warehouse, and servicing supply carts used in the hospital, along with any other Materials related duties assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to read and write and understand written and verbal communication.
Must have some computer/ipad knowledge.
Must be 21 or older
Must have a valid Mississippi Drivers License
Must have clean driving record and be insurable by the hospital’s vehicle liability policy.

Nice To Haves

Experience with medical supplies is a plus

Responsibilities

Must be able to work on your feet in a fast paced warehouse environment
Lifting of heavy items can be required at times, 25lbs to 40lbs
Answer calls and assist departments with their supply needs
Count inventory in par shelf locations to adequately restock storage areas
Properly issue out and charge supplies to departments
Restock products on the shelves in Central Supply warehouse
Restock crash carts
Sticker supplies with barcoded charge labels
Do after hours and weekend courier runs as needed
Participate in weekly cycle counts in Central Supply warehouse
Participate in Annual Inventory Counts conducted in the Hospital
Properly remove/dispose of expired/recalled products from inventory
Assist other areas within department as needed
Must conduct oneself in a professional and mature manner and work at times unsupervised
Other duties as assigned
