Requirements
- Education: High School Graduate
- Working Knowledge: Able to run and maintain sterilizers. And to maintain surgical inventory.
Nice To Haves
- Licensure/Certification: CST Certification preferred.
- Experience: Inventory background preferred.
Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of the Director, cleans, maintains, reprocesses, and sterilizes surgical instrument utilizing all standards for quality and patient safety.
- Also maintains just in time par levels of surgical inventory for the Surgical Services Department.
- Demonstrates willingness to work in other areas of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, as needed.
- Actively participates in the routine biological checks of sterilizers.
- Collaborates with the Director, resource nurse and all other team members in idea sharing, utilization of resources, as well as assists in the cross training of the staff when assigned.
- Assists the Director achieve the hospital mission, and incorporating the values of the hospital in day-to-day activities.
- Participates in and encourages teamwork to provide patient-focused care.
