About The Position

Cleans, processes and sterilizes reusable equipment and supplies for use in
patient care areas of the hospital.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Reading and writing skills essential.

Nice To Haves

• Sterile Processing Certified Tech. preferred.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and processes instruments for sterile use.
• Operates equipment such as sterilizers and distillery.
• Maintains work areas in a manner according to hospital policies and procedures.
• Attends inservice education programs as directed.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Complies with Corporate Policies, Departmental Policies and Procedures and Personnel Employee Handbook.
• Must be able to cross-train to other units as designated.
• Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills.
• Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration.
• Participates in quality improvement activities including serving on quality improvement teams.
