Position Summary Collects, decontaminates, stores and distributes all reusable supplies and patient care equipment in the hospital. The primary purpose of the Central Sterile Technician-Certified position is to receive soiled and contaminated instruments, equipment and trays from surgery, nursing units and patient care departments. Requirements

• Previous experience in Central Sterile field required.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Collects, decontaminates, stores and distributes all reusable supplies and patient care equipment in the hospital.
• Receive soiled and contaminated instruments, equipment and trays from surgery, nursing units and patient care departments.
