Job Summary: Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization and regulatory requirements. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Required
• 2-4 years related experience preferred
• Knowledge of case cart assembly.
• Familiarity with the regulatory standards of materials management.
• Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Responsibilities

• Processes specialty and general instruments.
• Resets instrument sets without error.
• Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure.
• Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels.
• Prepares and assembles surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
• Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor.
