Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- Graduate of a Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program Required or In Lieu of certification prior experience as a Central Service or Surgical Tech Required
- In lieu of degree Prior experience as a Central Service Tech OR Surgical Tech Required
- CCST - Certified Central Service Technician if no prior work experience Upon Hire Required
- CST - Certified Surgical Technologist if no prior work experience Upon Hire Required
Responsibilities
- Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
- Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
- Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, and equipment in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.
