Overview: Shift: Candidate needs to be able to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday- hours are flexible Responsibilities: RESPONSIBLE FOR: Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner. Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment. Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner. Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School graduate or GED. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Certification as a Central Sterile Tech or 3 years of Central Sterile experience required. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: None. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Central Service Processing Technician Certification, OR Surgical Tech Certification preferred. Business Unit : Name: Piedmont Fayette Hospital
