About The Position

Come work with the BEST!! Full time opportunity in our surgery department. Summary: Receives and processes incoming supplies and equipment, performs cleaning and sterilizing duties, prepares packs of supplies, linen and instruments in central supply/service as directed. OJT provided

Requirements

• Prefer basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation and all aspects of sterilization processes
• Prefer six months to one year in a surgical or other related health care setting
• Knowledge of the functions of decontamination and sterilization equipment preferred
• Ability to exchange information in a factual, objective manner
• Willingness to take direction from multiple sources
• Able to be flexible with regard to task priorities and time schedules

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
