About The Position

POSITION INFORMATION Position summary: The CS Technician II is responsible for the decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilization, and storage of all surgical instrumentation. Works collaboratively and maintains positive relationships with OR staff, Nursing Units, and co-workers.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalence.
• One year experience in a Central Supply department with expertise in OR instrument set processing and surgical casecarts.
• Must possess one of the following, and maintain active credentials:
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
