About The Position

Responsible for directing the overall service functions of the Central Supply Department. Must be able to move throughout the facility. Must understand written data and be able to write alpha and numeric data accurately. He/she will be responsible for the procurement of supplies, stock and non-stock, compliance while controlling inventory levels and accuracy with the system. Must be able to direct department, including assessing priorities and directing and scheduling staff. Able to communicate with pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle adult to geriatrics.

Requirements

  • Certified registered Central Service Technician (CRCST or CSPDT) required.
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of decontaminations and sterilization techniques and procedures.
  • Knowledge of ability to use internet, Microsoft Word and Excel computer systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in sterile processing principles, infection prevention procedures, JCAHO regulations AAMI and AORN compliance programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in related healthcare field preferred.
  • Strong supervisory experience preferred.
