About The Position

In this role you will reprocess, sterilize, and maintain GI equipment. You will follow recommended and mandated procedures to ensure the safety and sterility of the scopes. Certification not required, experience preferred. Vancouver Clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions. This includes care and opinions on vaccinations, reproductive health, end-of-life decision-making, and gender affirming treatment. Requirements

  • Detailed and procedure oriented required
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to specific guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center or central sterile services, preferred
  • Certificate of completion from a formal central sterile processing technology course, preferred
  • National certification, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and sterilizes GI tools according to Clinic procedure.
  • Maintains equipment in good working order.
  • Monitors equipment for quality and seeks repair or replacement if needed.
  • Maintains current knowledge of disinfection/sterilization technique through continuing education and professional equipment.
  • Performs quality control procedures on a routine basis and documents according to established procedures.
