We are hiring immediately for full time CENTRAL STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN positions. Location: Schwarzman Animal Medical Center - 510 East, 62nd Street, New York, NY 10065 Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time schedule. Days may vary, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm. Job Summary Summary: Delivers lab services at client locations.

Requirements

  • Central Sterile Processing Technician Certification (CRCST or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience using sterile technique.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience with primary cell isolations.
  • Minimum one year professional experience performing in vitro cell based assays.
  • Previous flow cytometry experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting multiplex ELISAs & protein labeling strongly preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in lab-based biomedical, pharmaceutical or biological sciences strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Isolates and cryopreserves primary PBMCs from both whole blood and leukopaks.
  • Handles and processes primary blood and tissue from mouse and primate sources.
  • Maintains sterile technique while culturing isolated primary cells.
  • Performs established flow cytometry protocols on a routine basis.
  • Completes daily maintenance and QC protocols on flow cytometers.
  • Conducts analysis of flow cytometry data (FlowJo).
  • Records results and uploads to relevant databases.
  • Processes customer requests from receipt until completion.
  • Maintains clear and accurate laboratory records.
  • Identifies and reports unusual results/outcomes.
  • Maintains clean and orderly lab space.
  • Maintains inventory of laboratory reagents and supplies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
