About The Position

The Central Service Technician II is a team member at MultiCare Health System responsible for supporting the total health care team. This involves cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments, maintaining inventory, and transporting supplies and equipment. The role requires a cooperative manner, working under direct supervision, and handling basically routine work situations. However, it also demands a service-oriented individual who can organize time and equipment, make independent decisions in daily routine duties, and prioritize multiple tasks. Internal contacts include patient care providers and Materials Management staff, while external contacts may involve patients, vendors, rental companies/agencies, other health care facilities, and physicians.

Requirements

• Completion of Central Service Technician course of study or completion of healthcare organization training program, as required by location; military training or experience satisfies this requirement for WA state employees, per Title 18 RCW
• Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by location
