About The Position

The Central Service Technician assigned to the Cath Lab is responsible for managing and distributing medical supplies specific to the Cath Lab, ensuring accurate inventory, documentation, and charge capture. This role supports clinical operations through vendor coordination, system use, and cross-functional collaboration, requiring independence, attention to detail, and professional service. As the only locally owned, not-for-profit health system in the area, Freeman focuses on meeting the health and wellness needs of those we serve as well as the needs of our employees. Freeman in Joplin, Missouri, is a 460-bed, three-hospital system providing comprehensive healthcare services to an area that includes more than 450,000 from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Freeman Health System includes Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East, Freeman Neosho Hospital and Ozark Center – the area’s largest provider of behavioral health services – as well as two urgent care clinics, dozens of physician clinics and a variety of specialty services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cycle counts and semi-annual physical inventories with =1% variance.
  • Receive and distribute hospital supplies with accurate documentation and expensing.
  • Rotate supplies to reduce expired stock and maintain cleanliness.
  • Maintain specialty carts, par carts, and procedure trays with proper charging and documentation.
  • Performs accurate inventory transactions and/or maintain records.
