The Scheduler at Stillwater Medical is responsible for scheduling inpatient and outpatient medical procedures in an accurate, efficient, timely, and supportive manner, adhering to departmental and SMC policies and procedures. The role involves using various communication methods, including telephone, fax, and computer software, as well as face-to-face interactions with clients. The Scheduler applies medical knowledge and clinical experience to perform job responsibilities and make critical decisions regarding scheduling requests. This position also supports the pre-registration and pre-certification process by obtaining accurate patient demographic and billing information, while maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with clients.
