The Central Scheduling Associate is responsible for Cadence scheduling for multiple departments throughout Covenant. This position will work with physicians, physician office staff, departments, and patients. This position is responsible to complete scheduling, relay prep instructions, and pre-registration. As well as verifying insurance to determine eligibility/corresponding benefit levels, calculate patient liabilities and listing/obtaining authorization. Assures patient understands their financial obligations, identifies payment solutions and screens for financial assistance needs. This position will work with other departments within the organization to gain knowledge of their appointments/visit types to maximize schedules often evaluating availability to add STAT appointments. Receives electronic and faxed orders to accurately schedule and link to the appropriate test when necessary.
