We are looking for a dynamic individual who is responsible for accurately performing the pre-access functions for scheduled patients, which includes scheduling outpatient diagnostic procedures and completing the pre-registration and insurance verification processes. Responsible for accurately performing verification of benefits for all hospital patients. Arranges for the efficient and orderly pre-admission of inpatients and outpatients, and appropriate follow up for emergency department admissions. Ensures that patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer database. Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities. This position serves as a lead for all central scheduling personnel, ensuring standard scheduling practices across all departments and serving as the lead resource for the entire scheduling team. Serves as a liaison to leadership team for all scheduling activates and processes. Coordinates with leadership team to ensure all corporate initiatives and quality metrics related to scheduling are met.
