About The Position

Central Processing Technician will be trained in processing, storing, and
distributing medical and surgical supplies and equipment. This position is for a
mid-shift 10:30 am to 7:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Follow manufacturers recommendations and instructions for use with regards to cleaning and sterilization (1 & 4).
• Follow all guidelines for quality assurance monitoring.
• Adhere to evidence-based best practices.
• Monitor and maintain the proper environment in the department including temperature, humidity and traffic control.
• Adhere to proper attire including PPE.
• Acquire and update professional education
• Works closely with surgery for changes in instrument sets and procedures and keeps instrument lists current.
• Provides direction and collaborates with team members to support a healthy work environment.
• Takes responsibility for FTE hours, documentation, and maintaining unit budget.
