This is a part time mixed shift with alternating weekend, 10-Hour shift. In this role you can make a difference by applying your current phlebotomy experience and skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples under the general direction of the supervisor.
• Correctly identify patients and transport specimens.
• Perform all related clerical and computer functions.
• Register, order, collect, label, process, and distribute specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages.
• Utilize relevant computer programs and perform data entry.
• Serve as the central communication of the laboratory for all incoming requests.
• Maintain quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories and report results received.
