The Central Office Intern provides support to various administrative, operational, and project-based functions within the central office. This internship offers hands-on experience in areas such as data management, reporting, process improvement, and cross-department collaboration. The intern will assist with day-to-day office tasks, participate in special projects, and gain exposure to business operations, while developing professional skills in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, as well as proficiency with standard office software and applications.
  • Outstanding time management skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple forms of communication and teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to develop relationships and collaborate and influence in a centralized organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with a proven track record of results.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Exudes professionalism in presentation.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in the English language.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when performing desk duties.
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting.
  • Adequate hearing to perform duties in person and over telephone.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly to individuals in person and over the telephone.
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading materials from printed sources and computer screens.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and timely manner.
  • Sort, distribute, and manage incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Validate parking for visitors and staff as needed.
  • Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments, including FedEx and UPS packages.
  • Respond to and manage incoming emails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate scheduling and usage of conference rooms.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and snacks, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Order meals and refreshments for meetings and company events.
  • Stock and organize kitchens and conference rooms to ensure readiness for daily use.
  • Performs and documents follow-through efforts in a timely manner.
  • Prepare, process and maintain letters, spreadsheets and trackers as assigned.
  • Maintain and update electronic and paper files to ensure proper record keeping.
  • Provide administrative support such as filing, scheduling, and updating logs.
  • Contribute to special projects or process improvement initiatives as assigned.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
