About The Position

The Central Mixing Specialist is responsible for preparing, mixing, and distributing immunotherapy serum vials for patients across all office locations. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, proper inventory management, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The position also includes documenting patient immunotherapy recipes, and maintaining accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Pharmacy Technician license required.
  • CPR and/or BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic setting or equivalent role.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.
  • Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, and volumes
  • Comfortable applying basic algebra and geometry to clinical measurements
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to healthcare privacy regulations
  • Familiarity with computerized systems used for patient records and departmental needs
  • Must have sharp vision (close, distance, color, and peripheral) to identify serums and adjust focus; ability to taste or smell
  • Regularly seated; occasionally stands, walks, climbs, stoops, kneels, or crouches
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Works in a standard clinical lab setting with moderate noise levels

  • Compounding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare new outside vial orders and refill vials for returning patients.
  • Distribute supplies to all office locations for testing and patient care.
  • Receive phone and email orders from patients and offices for outside vials; prepare serum concentrate stock bottles accordingly.
  • Mix serum vial orders for all office locations, ensuring proper documentation in company software and central mixing records.
  • Keep vials organized and separated by office location.
  • Enter and file patient immunotherapy recipes accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
