About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Central Materials Supervisor to join their team in Louisville, KY. This role is pivotal in overseeing critical aspects of supply chain operations within the healthcare facility, with a strong emphasis on ERP system utilization, customer service excellence, efficient inventory management, and sound fiscal responsibilities. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of ERP systems, demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, and be committed to optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The supervisor will be responsible for providing guidance in developing and implementing plans with the Materials Operations Manager, resolving daily operational issues, contributing to succession planning, and collaborating with the team to propose solutions that promote operational excellence. Key duties also include recommending and implementing programs and strategies to enhance production and space utilization, facilitating new product requests for clinical departments, and engaging with clinical directors and staff for all product-related needs, including quotes, analysis, and vendor representative interactions. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, understanding customer requirements, and ensuring the delivery of quality service, including prompt resolution of complaints and inquiries regarding merchandise shipments and stock levels, are also essential. Furthermore, the supervisor will be tasked with developing and implementing innovations to continuously improve the quality of service provided to customers.

Requirements

  • High School/GED
  • 1-3 years Supervisor-related experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma process improvement preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare materials environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Has in-depth knowledge of ERP system processes within own area.
  • Provides direction in discussing and creating development plans with Materials Operations Manager, based on knowledge and expertise with clinical departments.
  • Resolves day-to-day or routine problems using defined processes.
  • Provides input into succession planning process for own work area.
  • Works/brainstorms with work team and provides suggestions for solutions that contain the appropriate level of risk; ensures work team understands and supports the focus on operational excellence.
  • Recommend and implement programs, policies, and strategies to increase production and efficient space utilization.
  • Facilitates and assists with NPR (new product requests) for clinical departments.
  • Collaborates with clinical directors and staff for any product-related needs, including quotes, analysis, vendor rep engagement.
  • Builds customer relationships, interprets customer needs and assesses their requirement.
  • Ensure quality service is provided to the customers and ensures prompt follow-through on customer complaints and inquiries related to shipment of merchandise and stock-on-hand.
  • Develops and implements modifications and innovations to improve the quality of service to our customers.
