About The Position

The position involves various responsibilities related to baking and pastry production, including artisan bread making, pastry production, and cake decorating. The role requires expertise in producing a wide variety of baked goods, ensuring quality control, maintaining sanitation, and providing customer service.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 8 or more years of experience in the area of specialization.
  • 1 to 18 months of commercial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Produce more than 90 bread varieties from scratch including pan breads, natural ferment bread, and hearth breads.
  • Ensure quality control of all products before sending to the sales floor.
  • Organize back storage room, freezer, walk-in, and production area.
  • Read and execute daily production list.
  • Maintain sanitation in work area.
  • Provide customer service such as answering questions on the phone as required.
  • Mix and bake pastry products.
  • Master all specialty cakes, sculpture cakes, and signature cakes.
  • Mass produce a variety of all basic cake work.
  • Properly top and finish all cake goods to create a fresh and appetizing presentation.
