Requirements

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of logistics processes, procedures, products, programs, services, and mail processes
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Good PC skills required
  • Education/Training - High School Degree or equivalent
  • Specialized Knowledge/Skills - Microsoft Office Applications (particularly Excel)
  • Enthusiastic and Positive Attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to analyze a problem and develop a course of action
  • Prior training experience preferred
  • Proficient with the GlobalShip shipping application
  • Proficient with all logistic value chains (i.e., FedEx, UPS, Yizer, UPSMI & USPS)
  • Excellent computer skills - able to navigate to download reports from carriers
  • Must have great customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary point contact for customer's Mail Support Center & Specialty Managed Care Team logistics issues
  • Tracking/monitoring couriers, both national and local
  • Problem resolution with courier pickups & deliveries
  • Answering customer support center & store inquiries regarding pickups & deliveries
  • Communicate with customers or supervising personnel in a professional manner while addressing questions, problems, and requests for service
  • Oversee relationships with FedEx, UPS, UPSMI, USPS & Yzer
  • Escalate all shipping concerns in a timely fashion to management and customer
  • Work independently, with minimal direct supervision, to creatively problem-solve and quickly develop complex solutions for logistics problems to facilitate quick resolution
  • Operate as the point of contact for customer's issues concerning the mail/specialty business
  • Assist with general support of pharmacy operations when necessary
  • Adherence or compliance of policies and procedures/ SOPs
  • Develop new SOPs
  • Communicate with peers and supervisors about operational concerns and assist in resolving these concerns
  • Lead logistics continuous improvement projects
  • Adhere to and promote the company's Shared Principles (ICARE & ILEAD)
  • Maintain effective communication across all functional lines
  • Provide peer support and mentoring to fellow employees, identify training opportunities as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality when necessary
  • Assist in comment form research and communication for logistics related concerns
  • Act as back-up for Mail Team Lead & support production when necessary
  • Order and coordinate delivery of 'return to sender' packaging supplies to all store locations (once per year)
  • Coordinate the collection and pick-up of Hazmat materials at the site
  • Supporting other Lead areas such as Production and Mail when coverage in necessary
  • Order supplies/components as needed for production
  • Complete Expense Reports monthly to be compliant with McKesson purchasing requirements
  • Execute monthly shipping charge report to Wegmans/Mckesson billing
  • Any other assigned duties
