The Central Fill Operations Lead oversees and coordinates daily operations within the Central Fill pharmacy, ensuring efficient and accurate prescription fulfillment and adherence to all regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Pharmacy, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume pharmacy operations environment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) required.
  • Proven experience with pharmacy automation systems and inventory management software.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy regulations, including HIPAA and controlled substance protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • State Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a team of pharmacy technicians and support staff, including scheduling, performance management, and training.
  • Monitor production workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and throughput.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of medications and supplies, minimizing waste and ensuring product availability.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot pharmacy automation systems and equipment, coordinating with maintenance and IT teams as needed.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to minimize errors and ensure patient safety.
  • Generate operational reports, analyze key performance indicators, and present findings to management.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including logistics, customer service, and clinical teams, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Handle escalated issues and complex problem-solving related to prescription processing or team performance.
