The West Virginia Area Health Education Centers (WV AHEC) has five regional Centers with Executive Directors located in offices throughout the state, each with a multi-county service area. WV AHEC is a federally funded initiative sponsoring the statewide Centers with information and resources. Currently all Centers are under contract through the WVU Research Corporation and provide administration and oversight of the Center and its activities. Cabin Creek Health Systems (CCHS) is the fiscal agency and employer for Central WV Area Health Education Center (CWVAHEC) Region. CCHS operates seven primary care clinics across Kanawha County, WV with school-based care, pharmacy, and dental services being offered at most sites. The CWVAHEC Director will be responsible for advancing the systems' and the program's mission to support educational, continuing education, and healthcare workforce development opportunities within the CWVAHEC's catchment area of Kanawha, Jackson, Roane, and Clay counties.
