About The Position

The Central Core Technician plays a vital role in supporting the Nursing Staff in the Operating Room by managing sterile instruments and supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are gathered for surgical procedures. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• 1 year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nursing Staff in the Operating Room with management of sterile instruments and supplies.
• Gather necessary supplies for each procedure based on the surgical schedule.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the location of supplies and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Maintain inventory control and restock supplies as necessary.
• Act as a liaison between Central Supply and the Operating Room.
• Communicate pertinent case information with the RN and perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Participate in department/unit meetings and performance improvement initiatives.
