About The Position

The Centerless Grind Specialist at Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals is responsible for setting up and operating centerless grinding machines to achieve precise external cylindrical surfaces on metal workpieces. This role requires a strong understanding of grinding procedures and the ability to follow detailed specifications and instructions to ensure high-quality finishes and tolerances.

Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience in the Centerless Grinding Department.
• Related experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate one or more centerless grinding machines.
• Adjust work guides and grinding blades to achieve round parts for finish operations.
• Straighten parts by hand or using a hydraulic press in preparation for grinding.
• Adjust machine operating parameters to maintain tight tolerances and part finishes.
• Replace regulating wheels or grinding wheels as needed.
• Dress both regulating and grinding wheels according to instructions.
