About The Position

The Center Supervisor II at Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is responsible for overseeing the Aloha & Beaverton Swim Centers, ensuring high-quality park and recreation facilities and programs that cater to the diverse community's needs. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in parks and recreation or a related field, or equivalent work-life experience.
  • Minimum of five years of increasingly responsible experience in recreational management or a related field.
  • At least three years of management experience leading employees and projects.
  • Valid Oregon driver's license and good driving record.
  • Current first aid and CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Park & Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification preferred.
  • Multilingual skills for bilingual pay incentive.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Aloha & Beaverton Swim Centers.
  • Supervise and evaluate assigned staff, providing motivation and coaching to improve performance.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate recreation program development and implementation.
  • Research and develop marketing strategies for center activities and programs.
  • Conduct recreation needs assessments and implement program goals and objectives.
  • Manage the procurement and maintenance of facility equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in long-range program planning and budget preparation.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to promote recreation programs.
  • Resolve inquiries and complaints from participants and community partners.
  • Monitor compliance with district policies and safety regulations.
