Requirements

  • Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
  • Computer literacy with basic functions, email, internet, and programs like Adobe Acrobat.
  • High level of organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • One to two years of experience in Juvenile Justice, secretarial, or related fields.
  • One year of experience working with youth or young adults.
  • Associate's degree in human services, criminal justice, or a related field.
  • Valid State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to the Center Standards Officer.
  • Manages the Center's Behavior Management System and trains staff and students.
  • Assists in the Career Development System for new students regarding disciplinary systems.
  • Discusses infractions of Center rules with individual students based on Incident Reports.
  • Distributes weekly restriction lists to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintains records of all activities related to Center discipline.
  • Informs students of appointments for disciplinary hearings and procedures.
  • Submits weekly activity reports including attendance and incident statistics.
  • Ensures students meet disciplinary guidelines when moving to another program phase.
  • Establishes and maintains liaison with juvenile and law enforcement agencies.
  • Acts as Center Standards Officer in their absence.
  • Works towards meeting performance standard goals.
  • Follows the CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and complies with safety practices.
  • Complies with all relevant guidelines and policies.
  • Models and mentors appropriate Career Success Standards.
  • Participates in mandated staff training.
