About The Position

The Senior Operations Management Trainee (Senior OMT) at BioLife Plasma Services is a leadership development role designed for senior leaders looking to enhance their skills while contributing to the mission of improving the lives of patients with rare diseases. This position involves extensive travel across the country to various plasma centers, where the trainee will gain hands-on experience in managing high-volume blood plasma collection facilities. The program lasts approximately six months, followed by a 12-month period to secure a Plasma Center Operations Manager role, with opportunities for career advancement and personal growth.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience leading medium to large teams (20+ direct reports).
  • Ability to travel up to 90-100% during the Trainee Program.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license for the duration of the program.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., with occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience working with SOPs, GDP, GMP, CLIA, and the FDA.
  • Experience in a highly regulated or high-volume retail environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, technical, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an advanced leadership development program with extensive travel to plasma centers.
  • Drive a personal learning plan covering all aspects of managing blood plasma collection facilities.
  • Cultivate a positive team environment and motivate a diverse team of individuals.

  • Network and build relationships across BioLife to advance career opportunities.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to retain donors and enhance their experience.
  • Support operational activities and conduct management training in a fast-paced environment.
