About the position
The Graduate Intern in the Center for Student Engagement-PLV will play a vital role in supporting student engagement initiatives at Pace University. This position is designed for graduate students who are looking to gain practical experience in a university setting while contributing to the development of student leaders and campus events. The intern will work closely with professional staff and student leaders to ensure compliance with university policies and to assist in the planning and execution of various programs and events.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Student Engagement advisor to the specific groups advised in your area.
- Work with student leaders to ensure compliance with university and departmental protocols and policies.
- Assist in the planning and execution of major programs for the Center for Student Engagement.
- Be present at specific campus/department events as well as student events to assist with setup and breakdown.
- Assist with large-scale campus event prep as needed.
- Schedule 20 office hours per week (this may be flexed to offset evening and/or weekend hours worked).
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate student enrolled at Pace University.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students and staff.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in event planning or student engagement.
- Familiarity with university systems such as SetterSync, 25Live, and Eventbrite.
