About The Position

The Center Floater plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of educational services within our organization. This position involves providing support across various classrooms and programs, adapting to the needs of different age groups and learning environments. The primary goal is to enhance the educational experience for students by maintaining a consistent and engaging atmosphere. The Center Floater will collaborate with teachers and staff to implement lesson plans and assist with classroom management. Ultimately, this role is vital in fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the overall mission of our educational services.

Requirements

  • At least six months experience working with children in a Licensed day care center.
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Must have a valid Texas DL
  • Must be able to lift 45+ lbs.
  • The required skills for this position include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for interacting with students, teachers, and staff.
  • Adaptability is crucial, as the Center Floater must quickly adjust to different classroom environments and student needs.
  • Organizational skills will help in managing multiple responsibilities and ensuring that educational activities run smoothly.

Nice To Haves

  • Progress toward pursuit of college degree in early childhood education or child development, and Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent credential.
  • CDA or equivalent credential.
  • Eligible to possess CDA credential.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Preferred skills, such as knowledge of child development and educational best practices, will enhance the Floater's ability to support teachers effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities across different classrooms.
  • Provide supervision and support to students during various activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
  • Adapt to the needs of different classrooms, stepping in where needed to maintain continuity in education.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and staff to understand classroom dynamics and student needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and contribute to team development.
