About The Position

Winter Growth, a private non-profit, is searching for a Center Director for our Center in Olney, Montgomery County. This position supports our mission to foster community to empower our clients to live their best lives. Our programs have been in the community since 1979 and we are a respected leader in person-centered care. This position is supported by an outstanding interdisciplinary team who work together to ensure our clients receive excellent care and have the opportunity to participate in a therapeutic recreation program designed to support them in achieving independence, dignity, and life satisfaction. Requirements

  • Shall have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health and human services field, from an accredited college or university, OR the individual shall be a registered nurse.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in setting serving health-impaired seniors
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to plan, organize and prioritize the workload to meet deadlines and complete tasks under the pressure of constant interruptions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health and Human Services field or Social Work or registered Nurse in Maryland
  • Professional communication in both verbal and written formats.
  • Proficient in MS Suite and familiar with a variety of software programs

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of all components of the adult day care program including participation in the development and implementation of new processes.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable MD laws and regulations ensuring standards exceed those necessary for licensure.
  • Analyze issues, evaluate potential solutions, and make recommendations to staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring all company objectives are implemented in programs including outputs and outcomes identified in grant proposals.
  • Responsible for quality assurance system to evaluate effectiveness of program and individual care plan goals.
  • Prepare monthly program reports required by funding sources.
  • Hire, train and supervise managers of each department including activity, transportation, nursing and kitchen.
  • Support admissions staff to include tours and determining appropriateness of prospective clients.
  • Provide family support including case management and family grievances.
  • Support Community Outreach efforts as needed.
  • Be up to date on all regulations that pertain to assisted living and adult medical daycare including COMAR 10.07.14 (ALF), 10.09.07 (Medical Daycare-MA), 10.09.54 (Home and Community-Based Services Waiver), 10.09.61 (Daycare Waiver), 10.12.04 (Daycare)
