Southwest Learning Centers is looking for a part-time Center Director to ensure compliance with both state regulations and internal policies. We employ offsite administrative support to handle billing, collections, staff records and performance, as well as USDA food program administration tasks, which reduces the demand on a full-time Director who might otherwise be stretched across multiple responsibilities. YOUR ROLE AS CENTER DIRECTOR Ensure the center's compliance with regulatory requirements in accordance with WAC rules and SWLC policies Lead and support teaching staff to cultivate a positive and cooperative atmosphere Develop strong relationships with families to promote children's development and meet their needs Maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff members Work closely with the corporate team to implement policies, enhance center performance, and increase enrollment Requirements IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS Proven experience in early childhood education and center management, preferably as a Center Director or Assistant Director Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team Knowledge of state licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and childcare industry standards Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage budgets, staffing schedules, and operational logistics effectively Commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment for children Experience with curriculum oversight and child development assessment tools is a plus REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred Relevant state licensing and administrative credentials as required CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain Benefits WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING WITH US Family is honored here - discounted childcare available (ask for details) Paid Time Off which exceeds mandated requirements Holiday Pay $30-$35/hr (based on experience and education/credential requirements per Washington State) Are you ready to become part of our mission to support our families, team, and community?
