About The Position
Center Based Paraprofessional Lionsgate Academy Charter School North St Paul, MN We are a school transition program for students on the autism spectrum. Our staff: Work with higher behavior students living with autism Provide various levels of personal care Are scheduled day shift, 7:45-4:15 - no nights or weekends We offer: $22 - 23 per hour 80 hours of PTO Free dental insurance Medical, Vision & disabilty benefits State pension plan We partner with staff to meet Highly Qualified requirements Similar positions: Direct support para, DSP, PCA, Personal Care Assistant
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete the required job tasks
- Valid driver’s license/ability to transport students via school vehicle (must have 3 or less moving violations in the last three years and no DWI/DUI convictions within the past 5 years).
Nice To Haves
- 2 year degree or a minimum of 60 college credits OR successful completion of the ParaPro exam.
- We partner with staff to meet Highly Qualified requirements.
- Knowledge and experience working with students on the autism spectrum and low incidence disabilities.
- One year previous experience in a middle school, high school setting or transition setting.
- Knowledge and experience working with Google Apps
