About The Position
Hiring for Center Attendant positions within the Parks/ Recreation/Tourism Department. Primary duty is to assist with programs and events at the Sermon Center. This will involve irregular work hours. Additional duties may include assisting with the coordination of recreation programs, rentals, activities, and special events. Will process facility rentals, class and program registrations, and various other financial transactions. Responsibilities include answering telephones, data entry and other record keeping, interacting with the public, facility supervision and equipment set-up for special events. Will assist with maintaining grounds and facilities. This position's home base will be Sermon Center but could be scheduled to work at other facility locations including the Palmer Center, Truman Memorial Building, Independence Uptown Market, and George Owens Nature Park.
