About The Position

The Center Administrator at Optum West Colonial is responsible for overseeing the operational and financial aspects of the Health Center. This role involves providing leadership to clinical and administrative teams, ensuring quality patient care, and managing departmental goals and budgets. The administrator will work closely with physicians and regional management to enhance provider satisfaction and patient experience while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in a Primary Care setting.
  • 3+ years of experience in a management capacity.
  • Healthcare industry experience within managed care and/or medical group operations environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit superior customer service and communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Represent the company professionally, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Protect and disclose patients' protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Provide direction and guidance to clinical and administrative teammates.
  • Communicate organizational objectives and vision to the team.
  • Assist in developing and implementing departmental goals, policies, procedures, budgets, and reporting tools.
  • Promote a team approach to delivering quality, cost-effective care with a focus on patient satisfaction.
  • Prepare annual capital equipment and operating budgets for the Health Center and monitor departmental activities.
  • Implement tools to improve operational efficiencies and control costs.
  • Coordinate provider schedules and patient appointments, monitoring availability and making necessary changes.
  • Enhance provider satisfaction and assist in resolving provider-related issues.
  • Monitor the impact of growth on the facility's space plan and propose facility expansion projects as needed.
  • Maintain a professional facility appearance that meets patient expectations.
  • Enhance Health Center visibility through community involvement.
  • Participate in organizational and ad hoc committees as needed.
  • Report operational issues and organizational opportunities to the regional team monthly or as needed.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction through various programs and respond appropriately to feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee team development, including recruitment, counseling, mentoring, and termination of teammates.
  • Ensure adherence to billing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and ensure team compliance with dress code policy.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork under pressure.
  • Implement best practices for patient care and needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance.
  • Travel locally to the Corporate office in Tampa and other markets as needed.
