About the role: We're seeking a skilled and experienced Cement Mason to join our team! This role plays a key part in shaping high-quality concrete work on a range of projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate brings craftsmanship, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in concrete finishing (commercial preferred but not required)
  • Proficient with cement mason tools and general construction techniques
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and organization
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and solution-oriented
  • Comfortable working in team settings or independently
  • Must have your own tools, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
  • ALL final candidates are required and must successfully pass a background check and drug screening before starting employment.
  • Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This job requires lifting, bending, carrying, and climbing.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Form for concrete and place rebar once layout is given
  • Assist with materials takeoffs
  • Assist with layout, setting stringline, setting anchor bolts, etc.
  • Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand and power tools
  • Read and have the understanding of blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions to plan work
  • Repair chipped, cracked, or damaged concrete structures
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with the crew and take direction from supervisors, foremen, and members of other trades
  • Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with building codes and project specifications
  • Follow all safety procedures and project protocols to maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site
