Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or related is preferred.
  • Up to 1 years' experience working in Cellular Therapy, blood bank, Clinical or Research laboratory is preferred.
  • Aseptic techniques skills are highly desired.
  • Basic knowledge of quality control procedures is preferred.
  • Skill in pipetting, laboratory equipment such as hematology analyzer, centrifuge, scale and cell counter are preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
  • Critical thinking and good time management skill are highly preferred.
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs.
  • Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Receipt and accessioning cellular therapy products. Review applicable documentation for accuracy.
  • Process/cryopreservation of cellular therapy product in a strict adherence to laboratory SOPs.
  • Generate product labels as per the laboratory SOPs.
  • Perform calculations based on target therapeutic cell doses as per patient's physician order.
  • Prepare samples for testing, entering data into electronic system, pack and ship samples for testing to external labs as applicable.
  • Accurately complete and maintain documents and electronic information related to receiving, processing, and labeling products. Complete the batch record and testing report according to SOPs.
  • Ensure that patients' charts contain all necessary documents and lab reports as described in laboratory SOPs. Accurately maintain and enter data in the current laboratory computer system.
  • Ensure that all equipment is well-maintained and that your work environment is safe and organized. Perform QC check on equipment as per Laboratory SOPs.
  • Storage of cryopreserved products as per laboratory SOPs, ensuring proper conditions, in a temperature-controlled environment.
  • Handle the packing and shipment of cellular therapy products as per laboratory SOPs.
