About The Position

The Duckhorn Portfolio is North America’s premier luxury wine company. We were established in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn. Today, our portfolio features some of North America’s most revered wineries, including Decoy, Paraduxx, Goldeneye, Migration, Canvasback, Calera, Kosta Browne, Sonoma-Cutrer, Greenwing and Postmark. The Cellar Supervisor is responsible for training, motivating, developing, and working beside our cellar team. They assist in the planning and coordinating of Harvest, pre-bottling preparation, and general cellar activities.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of winery production experience with experience as a lead.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Some computer skills, Microsoft applications preferred.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change in a dynamic environment.
  • Forklift certified or the ability to be forklift certified.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all cellar activities.
  • Follow safety rules at all times; includes the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Read, understand, and follow SOPS.
  • Read, understand, and complete written work orders and shipping paperwork.
  • Assist with barrel activities, i.e., scanning, racking, filling, topping, cleaning and ozone application.
  • Operate crossflows and other filters.
  • Exemplify cooperation within cellar teams and across departments.
  • Oversee cellar cleanliness and organization.
