The Cell Leader (CL) will be responsible for the training, coaching and team building of assigned employees. The CL reports to the Value Stream Manager (VSM) and is responsible for the performance, productivity and compliance of the employees within their assigned product team. What You Will Do: Maintain compliance with contractual requirements related to build and test areas of responsibility including but not limited to: Calibration, Material Control, Tool Control, Housekeeping, Hazardous Waste, Training, Solder, and Mechanical requirements and Foreign Object Elimination programs. Development of a flexible and cross-trained workforce with daily performance that includes execution to MRP, Takt time, daily goals and identification of POEM issues, meet schedule commitments while keeping team motivated and focused. Monitor safety performance of the team and insure proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is available and being used appropriately, and ensure proper resources are available. Coordinate activities with support resources to include Engineering and Quality Utilize proper corrective actions, discipline and rewards and recognition consistent with policy. Approve labor charging and correct inaccuracies as required. Attend and participate in department meetings - lead daily Tier meetings. Understand and communicate Quality/Cost/Schedule metrics. Maintain physical security of classified documents, hardware and software and ensure employees, customers and visitors have proper clearance and that badges are properly displayed. This will be an onsite first shift role in our Forest, MS facility.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience managing a production team and/or group subordinate employees.
  • Experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with manufacturing and electronic theory
  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing concepts and / or use of the 6-sigma
  • Data entry experience with and industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) such as PRISM, Oracle E-Business, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or etc…
