Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? The Cell Leader - AWW Shift will be responsible for providing leadership to one or more Business Unit Cells. Apply CORE (Customer Oriented, Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity. Provide leadership and guidance to multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components. Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner; set day-to-day goals and objectives for team members; execute business decisions fairly; conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives. Bridge business objectives across (3) operating shifts; requires availability on all shifts. Support all legal obligations such as United States Government contracting and Administration of FAA policies and procedures. Responsible for making modifications in systems and processes to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of the work area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment.
  • Associate's degree and minimum 7 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment.
  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 9 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment in absence of a degree.
  • Experience with the Escapes Management Process and Quality Clinic Process.
  • Understanding of Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching skills.
  • Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of new product / process technologies.
